writing; Engaging beging

In room 21 we have been working on engaging beginnings for our narrative writing. We have practiced six different types of beginnings to keep our writing entertainment for the readers.




Here are some examples of how to do it. 


Exclamation mark 

• May was happy because she was going to go to the fair to get a ride on the roller coaster!

Question

• If you went to the fair would you go the roller coaster? 

Intro character

• May is kind and lovely but she is still scared of spiders   

dialoge

• you silly spider you cant come with me on the roller coaster

Flashback

• when may told the spider not to come 1 hour early the spider come on to the roller coaster

action

• when may saw the spider she jumped and screamed ahhh omg you are totally scary.
